Opportunities

Digital Rights Campaign Volunteer

Digital rights are increasingly important in the fight for worker rights for gig workers who are managed by hidden algorithms. Opaque automated systems foster exploitation and discrimination. They facilitate illegal workplace practices dismissals including unfair allocation of work, unfair performance management and unfair dismissals.

Our solution is to help workers assert their digital rights under the law so that they may take control of their data, have full transparency of how they have been subject to algorithmic management and to challenge illegal or unfair automated decisions.

We need help organising drivers and couriers, triaging data, and getting the word out on social media to make sure our campaign reaches as many gig workers as possible!

If you’re interested in digital rights, have good communication skills and experience in issue based activism, we would love to hear from you.
